“Mr. Moriarty, always so lovely to see you.”

“Anthea. Please, excuse my current face, I’ve been hit by a grey face.
Jim looked up at the Westminster Primary School sign and read over it a few times. This was the place where Sebastian had told him to go, the place where the Holmes’ child went to school. He cocked his head to the side, a slight frown spreading across his face. It was so ordinary. So boring. It was the last place he had expected the consulting detective to send his son. He shrugged and took a step inside.
His face lit up when he saw the person behind the front desk was a woman. Using his charm, he flirted his way past the front desk. Clipping the red visitors pass onto his jacket, he slowly made his way down the hallway, running his hand along the wall. He looked into each classroom until he saw the boy in the pictures that Sebastian had shown him. Hamish Watson Holmes. He studied the boy carefully for a few moments before knocking on the door. When the teacher came to the door, he gave her a smile before asking for the boy. ”He’ll be out for the rest of the day. Family emergency.” he said, eyes flashing to Hamish with a curious look about him.
Hamish was staring idly at the wall, he had already read ahead and studied everything for the chapter leaving him with nothing to do but daydream. The teacher was just about to smack his desk when there came a slight knock at the classroom door. She straightened out her blouse- For God knows what- And strode over to let the guest inside. There was a little bit of whispering and he read his name being said from the mysterious man. He scrunched up his face and tried to think of who this man was and why he had been talking about him.
” Hamish.” The teachers slightly annoyed tone brought him back and he snapped his attention back towards her. ” Pack up your belongings, there has been an emergency and this young man is to take you home.” She finished looking over the nicely dressed bloke once more before sauntering back to the front of the class.
Hamish grabbed his things and neatly tucked them away in his sack. His coat was collected on his way to the door and with a nod from his teacher he swiftly walked out leaving the door to shut behind him.
” Who are you? What kind of emergency? Does my father even know your here?” He found himself spouting out questions as he tried to keep up with the Mysterious visitor.
Jim gave the teacher a charming smile before leading the boy out of the room. He avoided his questions until they were out of the school, where Jim lead him down the street. Once he was sure they were out of earshot of anyone from the school, Jim finally acknowledged Hamish’s questions.
“If you’re as intelligent as Sebastian says you are, you know by now that there isn’t a family emergency. Neither of your parents know I’m here.” he studied the boy carefully before continuing. ”My name is James Moriarty. I assume your father has told you about me.”
Jim’s eyes ran across the smaller boy’s face. He carefully observed everything about him, from his clean and perfectly in place school uniform to his backpack which probably had more books than needed for the curriculum. Everything about this boy had characteristics of Sherlock all over him. Jim hoped that he was as intelligent as his father, and that this was not a waste of his time.
